About Oral Health

The Community Oral Health Initiative (COHI) is a group of Upper Valley residents who have each recognized the importance of oral health in their own work. Drawing upon the knowledge of practicing dentists, directors of local health foundations and community health workers, COHI holds monthly meetings during which members discuss the most pressing oral health access and advocacy issues currently facing their communities. Members carefully consider the oral health needs of their communities and brainstorm potential opportunities to address those needs. COHI has been in existence for 5 years and continues to provide its members with an open forum in which to consider oral health’s importance to the overall health of Upper Valley residents.
